KUNG HEI FATT CHOY or Happy New Year in Cantonese. I am a few days late in my greeting and I apologize for that. My students gave me an ang pow, normally given out during Chinese New Year for good luck. It turned out to be a packet with money inside it. They said it was "lucky money."

Spoken English was a hot subject of discussion in class. A good course for the Test of Spoken English: http://www.eslottawa.com/tse.html

It's snowing again after the warm temperatures for Winterlude. The ice sculptures were wonderful as they are every year, but they started melting after being up just a day or two.
