As we head towards Christmas (how many shopping days now?), ESL training providers in Ottawa have been busy coming up with goodies of their own. Here's a sneak peek at what's coming up in January. I guess it pays to have friends in high places ;-)
A new TOEFL Preparation class at St. Joseph's. This is in addition to their already very successful Test of Spoken English class. Call 741-6808 for info.
A new English Pronunciation class at St. Patrick's. Call 594-5773.
A new class called "Build Your Own P.C." at St. Agnes. Call 236-3983 for details.
Here's a link to the page with the information. I'm not sure it is live yet. If you cannot get there via the link then try typing http://www.eslottawa.com/winter-2005.html in your browser address bar and hit enter.
The best time to register for these classes is now. Call first to make sure pre-registration is on.

Go visit the Currency Museum or, if you are a teacher, take your class to the exhibit on counterfeiting. It's free and there are guided tours. Runs until February 28, 2005. For information go to http://www.currencymuseum.ca/.
Of course my favorite Ottawa ESL site is still http://www.eslottawa.com . The unassuming webmaster (who has threatened me with dire consequences, should I mention him/her by name) has propelled it into the top 2% of all websites as rated by Alexa. Watch for some really neat stuff coming up by, ohhhh... New Year's I'd say.
The Rideau Canal is being readied for the winter. The Beaver Tails kiosk is already in place. Never had Beaver Tails? It's another reason to visit our lovely city. ;-)
