Winter Weather
Ottawa's covered in a blanket of snow and even though global warming's been playing havoc with world weather patterns, it still looks and feels like winter here. There are of course ESL students who are experiencing winter for the first time and, as always, it is quite the revelation to listen to their comments. Ottawa is a far cry from Sudan or Mexico or Sri Lanka. Weatherwise at least. Lloyd Robertson was predicting a cold, cold winter in Southern Canada on CTV news tonight. And we have a winter election to add to the mix...
